PRAN-RFL-sponsored marathon held in Cox's Bazar
The two-day marathon event titled 'Marine Drive-Ultra, Season Three' was held on Cox's Bazar Marine Drive recently with the slogan "Our Heritage, Our Glory", says a statement.
PRAN-RFL Group, the country's leading conglomerate, was the main sponsor of the event.
About 300 local and foreign runners participated in the event in three categories- 50 km, 100 km and 161 km or 100 miles. At the same time, more than 50 third gender and special people took part in the programme.
Nurul Afser, deputy general manager (corporate brand) of PRAN-RFL Group, said the main goal of the event is to play a positive role in the international branding of Bangladesh, to build a sustainable and environment-friendly country.
"We think this type of programme will contribute to the country's sustainable development and awareness building about environment," he added.
